How to reset a cPanel password

For end-users (cPanel login)

  1. Go to your cPanel URL — usually https://yourdomain.com:2083.
  2. Click Reset Password below the login form.
  3. Enter your email address. cPanel emails you a reset link.

For resellers (WHM)

  1. Log in to WHM.
  2. Go to Home → Account Functions → Password Modification.
  3. Select the account, set a new password, and click Change Password.

If the reset email doesn't arrive

  • Check spam. cPanel uses your server's mail IP, which is sometimes filtered.
  • Confirm the contact email under WHM → Modify an Account.
  • Still stuck? Contact support and we'll reset it manually.

Security tip

Enable Two-Factor Authentication for cPanel under Security → Two-Factor Authentication. Takes 30 seconds and blocks the vast majority of credential-stuffing attacks.
